Achieving Albert Accreditation

Sustainability is no longer a “nice to have” in broadcast and live production – it’s an expectation.

Achieving Albert Supplier Accreditation marks an important step in formalising our commitment to responsible production. It reflects not just what we say about sustainability, but how we operate day to day – supporting productions that are working to reduce their environmental impact.

About Albert

BAFTA Albert is the leading sustainability initiative for the film and TV industry.

It provides a framework for productions and suppliers to measure, manage and reduce their environmental impact. This accreditation recognises companies that have embedded sustainable practices into their operations and can actively support productions working towards Albert certification.

As sustainability becomes a key requirement across major broadcasters and productions, alignment with Albert standards is becoming increasingly important.

The Challenge

Demand for sustainable suppliers is growing rapidly, with clients increasingly prioritising partners who can demonstrate clear environmental responsibility. This shift is being driven in part by organisations like the BBC, who continue to raise the bar for sustainability across the industry.

Aligning with these standards was a natural step for us. We already had a strong foundation in place – the focus was on formalising our approach and demonstrating it clearly to clients and partners.

The Process

Achieving accreditation required a full review of our operations, processes and policies.

A key part of the process was documenting and formalising existing practices. Many sustainable measures were already in place but not always recorded in a structured way.

We:

  • Updated and strengthened our environmental and recycling policies
  • Reviewed materials, sourcing and logistics processes
  • Implemented and evidenced carbon reduction measures
  • Completed training, including carbon literacy
  • Assessed how we support productions in reducing their environmental impact

We also looked closely at our supply chain, ensuring partners align with our sustainability values, and continued investing in infrastructure that reduces transport and energy use.

What this means for our clients

For our clients, this accreditation provides confidence.

It means working with a supplier who:

  • Understands the requirements of sustainable production
  • Is aligned with recognised industry standards
  • Has processes already in place to support environmental targets

For productions working towards Albert certification, it means one less thing to worry about. Sustainability is already covered.

Key Outcomes

  • Achieved Albert Supplier Accreditation
  • Formalised and strengthened existing sustainable practices
  • Improved documentation and internal processes
  • Better alignment with broadcast and production sustainability standards
  • Stronger positioning for tenders and sustainability-led projects

Looking Ahead

Achieving accreditation is not the end point – it’s a foundation.

We continue to review and improve our processes, explore more sustainable materials and suppliers, and invest in ways to further reduce our environmental impact. As industry expectations evolve, we are committed to staying ahead and supporting our clients in delivering more sustainable productions.
