Join our Rigging Team – Bring Events to Life!

As part of our rigging team, you’ll collaborate closely with talented crew members to deliver events, from pool, snooker, and darts to top TV shows, with precision, safety, and pride. This role blends technical skill, physical stamina, and a sharp eye for detail.

You will have the opportunity to travel across the UK and around the world and see your hard work come to life!

We value both the big picture and the fine detail: turning plans into flawless execution while staying proactive in fast-paced, hands-on environments. You’ll learn on the job, gain confidence, and be trusted to contribute from day one.

If you enjoy variety, teamwork, hands-on challenges, and being part of something bigger, this is your chance to grow and achieve.

All about the job…

  • You will work as part of the installation team on site at venues worldwide, setting up for major televised events.
  • Safely loading and unloading equipment both on and off site.
  • Operating plant machinery as necessary to complete job tasks.
  • Adhering to health and safety legislation, codes of practice, and the company’s Health and Safety Policy.
  • Being a part of a training program to enhance your skills and knowledge, with an opportunity for progression if desired.

Why we need you…

As part of our rigging team, you’ll collaborate closely with our crew members, helping to set up events primarily in the realm of live sports such as pool, snooker, and darts, as well as popular TV shows.

Our teams travel all over the world on different productions as well as working in all corners of the United Kingdom. We are a well-established team working closely with a wide range of production companies.

If you want to be more than just a number, want to see the world and work in a fast paced and hands on environment then Trans-Sport.Tv is the team for you.

We’re looking for…

  • Background: As long as you are hardworking, practical and willing to learn, you can be successful at Trans-Sport.tv. No previous experience is necessary — we invest in our people, and a training package is provided to help you succeed.
  • Location requirement: Our work takes us to venues across the UK and overseas, but you will need your own transport to report to our yard in Treswell, Nottinghamshire.
  • Physical stamina: Our work is demanding and requires physical strength and endurance.
  • Willingness to travel: You should be prepared for long-distance, overseas travel and for overnight stays.
  • Team player: We are looking for people who adapt and thrive within a team and who communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Reliability and dedication: We value hardworking people who bring a can-do attitude and embody our core values.
  • Licence and training: A full, valid driving licence is essential. Training such as IPAF, PASMA, forklift, or working-at-height would be an advantage, though not required.
  • Technical ability: Knowledge and understanding of risk assessments and method statements (RAMS), health and safety on site, rigging systems including truss and scaffolding, and cabling is helpful but not essential, as you will learn this with us.

“I have worked with Trans-Sport for more than a decade now. In that time they have been at the forefront of studio build technology. Their attention to detail and build quality is in my opinion, unsurpassed and they are my first call for all the Outside Broadcasts I work on. They not only supply on site studios and first class commentary booths, but scaffolding and rigging as well. They are a real one-stop shop who I would highly recommend to any prospective production company. First class.”

Andy Finn, Director - Sky Sports

“Shaun and his Team at Trans-Sport have been contractors to Matchroom on event broadcast for over 20 years. Driven by a desire to get the very best out of every event in the most safe, yet cost effective manner Trans-Sport exceed all expectations. Their total commitment and infrastructure delivery allows Matchroom to produce top quality productions, and that’s what keeps us all at the top of the game!”

Barry Hearn, Chairman - Matchroom Sport

“I have contracted Shaun and his team on every genre of event, from Royal Weddings, Funerals and State occasions to large scale entertainment events such as the BRITS and BAFTA’s. Trans-Sport deliver detailed diagrams and plans complete with calculations on time, every time and exemplify a passion for safe working practice. Their crew are always equipped with the correct PPE and their plant licences are always up to date. The depth of knowledge and ability to effectively lead a large cohort of multi-skilled contractors, from the front, through an environment of constant change, has established Trans-Sport as our first call company, regardless of scale or complexity of operation.”

William (Bill) Morris, International Business Director - CTV Outside Broadcasts

“I have worked with Shaun Cope and Trans-Sport for over 20 years. In that time Shaun has taken care of the overall rigging and structural planning and installation of events around the world. We have worked in many hundreds of venues often with language barriers but we have always been confident that our installations are safe and managed professionally with all necessary documentation in place. I have no problem endorsing the standard of work by Shaun and his Team and would be happy recommending their services to others.”

Sharron Tokley, Events Director - Matchroom Sport

“We provide Health & Safety services to Trans-Sport. I find Shaun and his colleagues always ready to listen to advice regarding Health & Safety and take their duties very seriously. The company invest a great deal of time and money into training their employees to a very high standard which is reflected in the safe manner in which Trans-Sport employees undertake their work on site.”

Ken Stevens, Risk Services Manager - ProAktive Risk Management

“IMG Sport Production has worked with Trans-Sport for over a decade in respect to its coverage of snooker and darts for the BBC. Throughout this period we have never had anything other than a top class service, to the extent that their service and quality of workmanship is almost taken for granted. They have flexibility in their working and are understanding of the time and budget pressures that all companies are working under in the current climate. It is no surprise that they are in demand and now work extensively with World Snooker on all their projects too. Whilst I am running the production operation at IMG, Trans-Sport will always be a first port of call for any sport production that need scaffolding and related services.”

Graham Fry, Managing Director, Production Worldwide - IMG Sports Media

“We have worked with Tran-Sport for ten years and always found them to be the most professional outfit whatever the circumstance and time of day. Their dedication and hard work is matched by their flair and enthusiasm.”

John Leach, Managing Director - Sunset+Vine

“World Snooker have worked for many years with Trans-Sport on over 100 different televised snooker tournaments worldwide. On every event Shaun and the Team at Trans-Sport demonstrate utmost professionalism. In particular their safe working practices, methods of rigging, competence of planning events and bringing contractors together along with the overall strategic and efficient working practices are rated high in our estimations and would have no hesitation recommending their services to others.”

Nigel Oldfield, Operations Director - World Snooker

“Tuxford Academy’s Creative Arts Faculty has had the privilege to work in partnership with Trans-sport for the last six years. Over that period they have given their time & expertise most generously. Their support has been focused on assisting us with our annual school production & talent shows, through provision & installation of staging, lighting rigs & sound equipment. Despite their own highly demanding schedule, they always find time for us. I am inspired not only by their professionalism, but also their commitment to organisations like ours. Countless young people in the Tuxford area have enjoyed participation in productions which we could not have staged so ambitiously were it not for such a dedicated team.”
