Trooping the Colour is one of the most watched ceremonial occasions in the British calendar, broadcast from the heart of London. For the second year running, we delivered the temporary broadcast structures for the BBC’s coverage, providing camera platforms along the route and a fully fitted commentary position.
Working across landmark locations like these leaves no room for error, with every tower and structure needing to meet broadcast requirements while sitting carefully within some of London’s most recognisable settings. Our camera towers ran the length of The Mall, with a tower positioned on the steps of the Queen Victoria Memorial to give the cameras clear, elevated views of the parade. At Mountbatten Green, we designed and installed the commentary structure complete with draping, carpeting and air conditioning, creating a comfortable, controlled environment for the commentary team, and finished the position with six tables, sixteen chairs and the level of detail an event like this deserves.
An occasion that demands the highest standard, and one we are proud to deliver for a second year.
